How to choose your area
Oisterwijk is small enough that no choice is wrong, but the right one depends on what you've come for:
- Village centre — best for shopping, restaurants, galleries, the Saturday market. Walk to most things; train station a few minutes away.
- At KVL — best for the architecture, design and ceramics side. Still walking distance to the centre.
- Forest edge — best for waking up with trees outside the window. Walking distance to the reserve, drive or cycle to the centre.
- Country estate — best for full-on retreat: spa, restaurant on site, longer drive to the village.
- Surrounding villages — Moergestel, Heukelom, Haaren are quieter, often cheaper, mostly rural.
The notable places
Neo KVL by Tasigo
The most distinctive option. A design hotel inside the restored leather-factory complex on the KVL site. The building is the main draw — rooms inside historic industrial halls, courtyards with terraces, the patisserie and brasserie a few metres away. Walking distance to De Lind and the station. The kind of place that adds atmosphere to a weekend.
Landgoed de Rosep
A country-house hotel just outside the village on the southern edge of the woods, with a restaurant, spa and forest paths from the door. Older, established, popular with weekend retreats. A short drive from the centre, easy walk into the reserve.
Hotel De Leijhof
A solidly luxurious hotel in the village centre with a strong restaurant and the kind of polished hospitality this Brabant area does well. Good for couples and small groups who want town location plus comfort.
Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Boschoord
A mid-scale hotel close to the forest edge with reliable rooms and an integrated restaurant. A practical choice for families and small groups; usually has more availability than the boutique options.
B&Bs and apartments
The village has a healthy supply of small bed-and-breakfasts and short-stay apartments, particularly in restored townhouses near De Lind. These are often the best value and the most local in atmosphere; hosts tend to be unhurried and informative. Booking via the usual platforms or directly via the hosts.
Forest cabins and camping
Several rental cabins and small campsites sit on the edge of the reserves. These are ideal for families, dog-walkers and anyone who wants a base out of the village. A few are accessible by bike from the station.
"Sleep in the factory, in the woods, in a townhouse off De Lind, or in a quieter neighbouring village. The right answer depends on which morning you want to wake up to."
Practical booking notes
- Weekend rates are higher than midweek; midweek can be excellent value.
- School holidays (especially July–August) push up prices and availability tightens.
- Christmas-market weekends and the Natuurtheater opening evenings sell out fastest.
- Most hotels are dog-friendly; confirm when booking.
- Family rooms and adjoining rooms exist at most properties; ask.
- Spa hotels in the area usually offer day passes if you're not staying overnight.

What we don't list
We deliberately don't quote prices or post current availability — those numbers change too fast to be trustworthy. Use the major booking platforms or the hotels' own sites for live information. The list above is about character and fit, not price points.
